Maggie Maxwell is a Burlington, Vermont–based comic and actor, and a 2025 finalist for Vermont’s Funniest Comedian. She is a member of the improv/sketch team Hot Priest, co-host of the long-running live show Would You Rather with Andre and Maggie, and the creator and host of The Lowdown at Higher Ground, a showcase highlighting standout comedians from across Vermont. Maggie appears as “Best Deals Betty” for Tops Friendly Markets and as a Hockey Mom in GEICO’s national “The Lamps” commercial.

From the New York City comedy scene, Maggie trained in sketch and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and performed regularly throughout the city, including with the prestigious BoogieManja program. She has appeared on NBC’s Bring the Funny and GOLD Comedy’s No Worries If Not, and her writing has been featured by outlets including Reductress, Cracked, and Funny or Die.

Maggie has performed at comedy festivals across the country, including San Francisco Sketchfest, New York Comedy Festival, Flyover Comedy Festival, Nell’s Bells, Austin Sketch Fest, Madison Comedy Week, Portland Sketch Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds, Charleston Comedy Festival, UCB’s Del Close Marathon, and Big Pond Improv Festival.

Her work has also been featured at the NYC Short Comedy Film Festival, Lysistrata Comedy Festival, Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival, and the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
