Maggie Maxwell is a comedy writer, stand-up, actor, and host based in Burlington, Vermont. She co-hosts the long-running live show Would You Rather with Andre and Maggie and is the creator and host The Lowdown at Higher Ground, a new showcase for standout comedians in Vermont.
Maggie came up in the New York City comedy scene, where she trained in sketch and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and performed regularly across the city, including with the prestigious BoogieManja program. She’s currently featured as a Hockey Mom in Geico’s national “The Lamps” commercial.
She has also performed at comedy festivals across the country, including San Francisco Sketchfest, New York Comedy Festival, Flyover Comedy Festival, Nell’s Bells, Austin Sketch Fest, Madison Comedy Week, Portland Sketch Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds, Charleston Comedy Festival, and UCB’s Del Close Marathon.

Maggie appeared on NBC’s Bring the Funny, GOLD Comedy’s No Worries If Not, and her work has appeared in outlets like Reductress, Cracked, and Funny or Die.
She’s also been featured at the NYC Short Comedy Film Festival, Lysistrata Comedy Festival, Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival, and Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
